I. Magnin Building

Centrally situated in downtown Oakland, the former I. Magnin building is well-known for its distinctive green terra cotta and black marble façade. A classic art deco structure, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. SRM acquired the 64,000 sq. ft. building in May 2000, and completed a comprehensive rehabilitation including an award winning seismic upgrade, brand new electrical/mechanical and data systems and new interior finishes. The result was an open, creative and modern work environment within one of Oakland’s most recognized historic structures.
